1/2 c soy sauce
1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 tbl red wine vinegar
2 tsp veggie oil
1 clove minced garlic
3/4 tsp ground ginger
you mix all that together, and then I take about 3-4tbl cold water and 1 tbl cornstarch (or more if you like sauce really thick), and mix that really well and whisk it into the other sauce.
Pour that over about 4 chicken breasts and bake it covered until the chicken is done (about 45 minutes)
serve over rice.
You can leave out the cornstarch and the sauce will be very runny... or you can take a couple tbls of the sauce and mix it into ground beef for terriaki burgers (REALLY good that way)
